Building an Equipping Church
Join authors Sue Mallory and Alan Nelson, as well as speakers Don Simmons, Chris Hardy, and more, for a five-day intensive training experience at our headquarters in Loveland, Colorado. From March 12-17, you'll learn how to turn your volunteers into disciples. Based on Leadership Connection's Level 1 training, this workshop includes special sessions for pastors and focused training for church staff and lay leaders. You'll:

• Assess your church culture and readiness for change
• Learn procedures and processes to best support equipping ministry
• Define next steps in the implementation process for your church
• Come away with practical tools for equipping volunteers and the tools to create an equipping culture in your church.

New forms to help you out
One of the great things about being a member of an association is being able to benefit from the experience of your fellow members. We've added two new forms to help you out in ministry, both of which were contributed by a member willing to share her church's work with others.

In the Safety/Liability area we've added a sample Vehicle Use Policy. This is a great way to establish the guidelines under which someone may use a vehicle for church business-even if it's their own car. This communicates, and gives you a way to enforce, a policy to help protect your people and your church. In the Ministry section, the new Ministry Worksheet form provides a handy way to plan and track the help you need to staff your ministry properly.

So what's your church doing that our other members could benefit from? Many of our tools were developed in churches just like yours. You may not think that what you're using is very valuable, but if it's helping you out, chances are good that it will help another church too! Staying connected
Many of us have a clever way of avoiding spam emails: We change our email address frequently! Lots of people are upgrading to high-speed Internet service, too, and are changing their address as a result.

Well we don't want to lose touch with you! Your membership brings you great benefits like this newsletter, and you shouldn't lose these benefits just because you change your address. That's why we've made it easy for you to update your email address on our site. Just login to ChurchVolunteerCentral.com, move your cursor over the Help link in the top left, and click on Change Login in the menu that drops down. The page that opens up will let you change your email address, and it will also let you change your CVC password.
