MEMBER UPGRADES

Our Web site is more robust than ever, with many improvements in April. We’ve added more than a dozen new training modules, and there are several dozen new ministry descriptions—some simple, some detailed. In addition, we've converted all of our downloadable documents into a new format so that both our PC and Macintosh members should be able to load them into their favorite word processor.

We’ve added numerous articles to the Idea Depot, too. Our download statistics indicate that people are really taking advantage of these free documents and reports.

To help churches evaluate how they're doing at volunteer leadership, we've created an assessment tool that will help you determine your strengths and weaknesses, and track your progress through time. It only takes a few minutes to complete the questionnaire, and the insights it can bring make it time well spent. You can see this new tool here, or by clicking on the link on our member's home page .

More importantly, though, we’ve worked to make our purpose more clear. At Church Volunteer Central: “We equip churches to help people grow in their relationship with Jesus by providing innovative and effective resources for identifying, equipping, and releasing people into their gift-based ministries.”

We applaud the great work of volunteer management organizations, but we also want it to be clear that we are different. We encourage you to take a moment to read the foundation upon which we are built here, or by clicking on the "Our Purpose" link at the top of all pages in our site. There are now links to this page throughout the site, to serve as continual reminders that we aren’t just about “filling jobs;” we’re about making disciples.
