Group’s Church Volunteer Central

"Church Volunteer Central has been a God-send to our ministry. For the past 5 years we have been doing background checks on all volunteer staff within our student ministries department. Each background check has been costing us nearly $100 and several hours of paperwork. With CVC all the work is over and we are saving over 75% of our budget which gives us more money for real ministry! Not only have the background checks been a great service but all the sample letters, forms, and ideas have saved us countless staff hours and research! Thanks Group for continuing your ministry of excellence and equipping!"

Church Volunteer Central is pleased to announce our relationship with Sue Mallory's Leadership Connection. Sue's book, The Equipping Church, has brought her into the national spotlight as she speaks and trains the church to fulfill the call in Ephesians 4 to lead all Christians into ministry.

You know there are people in your church whose lives would be transformed in the process of serving others. Yet no matter how hard you plan your “recruitment campaign” for ministry volunteers, it frequently falls short.
This is the ongoing dilemma of many, if not most, volunteer coordinators called to “fill a slot” in their ministry. The solution comes when you create a culture in your church that is no longer trying to get volunteers, but to equip ministers.
The “in thing” these days is for churches to hire someone to be responsible for calling and equipping people to serve. The assumption is typically that this person will create a successful gift discovery program, find numerous volunteers, train them, and send them—equipped and empowered—to the ministry field for effective service. Approached this way, though, it rarely happens successfully. Read more
