Help
by Bruce Vander Kolk
Each
month, help your busy teachers with these ideas:
January—Sharpened pencils and new crayons
or markers to replace old ones.
February—A book of indoor game ideas. Include
simple game items such as balloons, blindfolds, and a plastic ball.
March—Bright spring decorations.
April—A certificate for the rental of a wholesome
video and several bags of microwave or pre-popped popcorn.
May—A roll of film for year-end pictures.
Include a note explaining that the church will pay for film processing
and whether your church has cameras to loan.
June—Thank you notes, awards, and certificates
for teachers to give to children.
July—Notes to let teachers know you're praying
for them.
August—Pre-stamped postcards to send to students
encouraging them to attend Sunday school this new school year.
September—A substitute teacher pack with
pre-planned activities and crafts to keep in the room.
October—Self-stick notes for marking Bibles and lessons.
November—Thanksgiving cards detailing how
thankful you are for their dedication.
December—A gift certificate for a pizza party
or other holiday treat.
